Traditional Malay Kueh
When I was a little girl, my mother and my elder sister would spend time in our small kitchen way back in Taiping where our afternoon tea would consist of fried banana fritters, deep fried banana scones and some other delicacies that would keep our stomachs full until dinner time. Those where the days when simple food tastes so delicious. Now when I stop by the street vendors to buy some malay kuehs, everything tastes bland and nothing like what mum used to make. Even the price is not in par with the food. So now I think I will make my own malay kueh.

Baking Bread
About a week ago, I tried baking some dinner rolls and it turned out great from the oven. But lo and behold, it's kinda hard and not popular with my siblings cos they said its kinda hard and i need to make it softer. But a nice young lady I met earlier today at a store told me that I need to put bread improver and its full of preservatives! Okay so I am wondering if there is anyone out there can give me a suggestion on how I can make soft dinner rolls without those horrid chemicals. Thanks a bunch.
